International Experience Summary:

pon joining the VIH Program in 2011, Tiffany Grossi embarked on her first overseas trip to Alcala de Henares, Spain - a quaint, medieval town located on the outskirts of Madrid. As a student in Spain, Tiffany developed her passion for language acquisition and cultural sensitivity. A year later, she focused on a new facet of her linguistic interests by departing for the Middle East where she studied Omani dialect in Muscat, Oman. After her second international experience, Tiffany served as the VIH intern until her August 2013 graduation from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Economics, a Certificate in Arabic Language & Linguistics and a minor in Spanish. While interning, Tiffany assisted in several projects including the annual newsletter, photo contest, mentoring program, and website design. When she isn’t traveling or studying a new language, Tiffany enjoys taking frequent trips to the Strip District, 4-wheeling with her family and hosting movie nights for her hometown friends.
