Mary Beth Wargo

I went to Guayaquil, Ecuador through the International Partnership for Service Learning and Leadership. During my stay, I participated in health care working in a public clinic located in a squatter village outside of the city. I worked primarily with children and women with a focus on family and community health and wellbeing. My experience in Ecuador will complement my future academic goals at Duquesne by enriching my clinical nursing experience and enhancing my skills in the Spanish language. I plan to work in the international health care setting and I believe that my trip to Ecuador will serve as a starting point for my future career plans.
