International Experience Summary:

My coursework in Cusco, Peru, allowed me to simultaneously study Incan Archeology and Spanish language.  The program emphasized learning in a non-traditional setting, allowing us to use the archaeological ruins that surround Cusco as our main textbook.  The Spanish language class was supplemented by visits to museums and the local marketplace, where we were expected to use the language with native speakers.  The coursework in Cusco culminated with a trip to Machu Picchu, which has been named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World!  In addition to coursework, the program also emphasized cultural activities, including shows, cook-outs (where we tried a fine, Peruvian delicacy: guinea pig), and even a visit to ahuanacancha, a llama and alpaca farm.
