Vanessa LaBryer is a current member of the University of Pittsburgh’s VIH cohort. She is a junior at Pitt’s Oakland campus, with plans to attend med school after graduation. Before graduation, she plans on studying medical Spanish in South America, where she hopes to learn more about global health and universal healthcare. Vanessa hopes that time spent abroad will provide her with a global perspective, so that she can use her knowledge and experience to help resolve local health disparities.
Vanessa enjoys baking, reading, and gardening in her free time. The pandemic has given Vanessa plenty of time to resuscitate her dead plants in hopes of finally having a green thumb!
